The Litter Sweep event in the Town of Rolesville, NC, is a bi-monthly initiative aimed at cleaning up the community. The event dates for 2025 are:

Volunteers meet at the Rolesville Community Center - Side A at 9 AM on the day of the event. The town provides safety vests, gloves, and bags. Participants are advised to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to protect from tall grasses and insects. Volunteers are required to bring their own transportation or plan to ride with someone they know. Each group must have at least one adult over the age of 21 and no one under age 12. Sunscreen and a reusable water bottle are recommended.
Volunteer registration is available, and participants receive a free Volunteer t-shirt. The event encourages community involvement and helps keep North Carolina's roadways clean. For more information, including safety tips and videos, volunteers can check out the NC DOT Volunteer Resources.
